Advance your driving knowledge and skills

Driving around your local area, testing areas and school runs – doesn’t enhance your driving skills.

Be taken into areas you’re not familiar with, busier, more hazardous areas. Experience more complex roads and intersections, park in between cars in busy areas. Set the GPS and drive yourself towards unfamiliar destinations, whilst adhering to all the road rules, spotting hazards and reacting positively to them. Work your way towards bridges and motorways.

Who do we teach?

We provide lessons to Learners, P platers, full licence holders and Overseas licence holders who wish to convert their licence. Obtaining a licence doesn’t automatically make you confident.

Whether you weren’t taught properly and just passed or you have just found it overwhelming – Make the smart decision to get lessons and build your skills.

Thanks to Lien I was able to pass my P's test straight away first go with a score of 100 out of 104. I’ve never been with a teacher as good as she was, she was always patient and calm while I was driving. She’d also took the time to know me so she could give me the best advice and confidence in my situations.

Without Lien I definitely wouldn’t have been able to pass. She’s the only one to have made it happen out of any other driver I’ve had before. The best part of her teachings was when she’d use a white board with markers and small toy cars to visually show me how to park or the right ways of turning.

I’M VERY GRATEFUL TO HAVE FOUND TOMMYS 101 DRIVING SCHOOL!!!

I went through a lot of others instructors previously, but I couldn't learn properly how to control the car at all. I found Tommy’s 101 by searching on google for someone that could help me in getting my driver licence, plus affordable prices and flexible hours. And I was very fortunate in finding them because they are absolutely wonderful!!

Tom was my instructor and he is the best!!

He teaches you everything from zero and develops each skill, with a lot of sense of humor and patience!!

He let me drive his new Kona for the test, and fortunately I was able to get it back in one piece (we were both pretty surprised). I cannot believe that I am now a P licenced driver👏😭 I had 0 experience of driving in my life but Anna patiently helped me to get it started. She is kind but straightforward and I was fortunate to have her to explain every single thing that I needed to understand.

I also learnt from Tommy later on. He is fun and he always made sure that I was feeling comfortable as I progressed further onto heavier traffic.

Tommy honestly helped me vastly through my experience on learning to drive. I highly recommend Tommy's 101 Driving School for lessons. I've had my Ls for a few years and kept renewing as I was so hesitant to drive. I've done a few lessons with family but decided to contact Lien and I'm so glad I did. She is so patient and understanding. I did many lessons with her even though she knew I was ready for my test. And guess what, I PASSED on my first go.

So grateful I got to share this milestone with her. She took me out of my comfort zone and always reminded me to breathe haha.

I PASSED ON THE FIRST GO ! It took me so many lessons & I'm not going to lie but Lien was probably my 5th or 6th instructor. I gave up 2 years ago because I lost my confidence after crashing.

Lien was patient. She took me straight on the highway on my first lesson & the more lessons I ended up doing with her, the more confident I felt behind the wheel. It felt so good because I honestly felt like I was driving in my own car.

Tommy is the best instructor ever!!! I have multiple driving instructors (at least 5) at different times and I couldn't drive until I learned with Tommy. He is brave, patient and calm. I would most definitely recommend Lien and Tom as instructors. Through their help, I became more confident on the road and also learned how to be a safer driver. When I first began driving, I undertook lessons which were of great assistance in building my basic road skills. Initially, I felt quite scared to park but with the guidance of both instructors and through practical demonstrations, I was able to grow more confident in my ability to park which has really helped with my overall confidence on the road too. The instructors also always make sure you are driving accurately whereby they would often make me redo a particular manoeuvre while explaining it, which was really helpful in building up my lifelong skills. Before my test, I began lessons again with Tom who helped me to stabilise my basic road knowledge by taking me along unfamiliar roads, and I also went with Lien who took me along the test routes and assisted me with my manoeuvres. Overall, I would 100% recommend this driving school because I would not be such a confident or safe driver without their help.

Tommy’s 101 Driving School is the best around NSW! I’ve had Lien as my driving instructor for all of my lessons and she’s most certainly the best driving instructor of all time.

As a learner driver, I wasn’t feeling confident with driving until I started doing lessons with Lien. Instantly on Day One of driving with her, she made me feel extremely comfortable and safe.

I learnt so much knowledge on safe driving on my first lesson with Lien, and she even provided visual guides during lessons to understand the content better, which is awesome for people who may find just verbal teaching or communication difficult.

After consistently attending lessons with Lien, I continued to gain knowledge on driving safely. She would always switch up lessons so it wasn’t repetitive and I was able to test my skills on driving in multiple scenarios across various locations - which really helped in building my confidence with driving on different types of roads.

As a result of all of this, I was able to confidently go into my P’s test and passed on the first go! I am so grateful to have passed my driving test with the help of Lien. On my first lesson, Lien greeted me in a warm and welcoming manner, which made me instantly feel comfortable driving with her. Parking was an issue for me, and Lien explained the concept of parking through visualising the process with toy cars. This was a big help for me as a visual learner, and I am sure that it will benefit anyone else who struggles with parking. Regardless, Lien stayed positive throughout each parking attempt and continued to reassure me. This was exactly what I needed as a learner.

Throughout our drives together, Lien would continuously explain other concepts and give instructions for how to perform manoeuvres and drive correctly. Lien would give live feedback on my driving as we were going, which helped me to correct my mistakes, and allowed Lien to reassess if anything needed further readjustments. This helped me significantly in my test as I was able to perfect all of my skills in every aspect of driving.

It is a bitter-sweet moment passing as I instantly came to the realisation that I would no longer have lessons with Lien. Our lessons were something I looked forward to deeply, as it helped me develop my driving skills which I will use for the rest of my life.

I took few lessons with Anna before doing the driving test. Anna is really good and know what she is doing. She will start with giving you all information about road rules in NSW then take you to service NSW and explain what you will do during the test. So it’s like you doing a mock up test which is really helpful. Then we will go around to possible routes during the actual test so I’d be familiar with the rules. From the very beginning of my first lesson with her, I felt completely comfortable with her, and her kind presence, and safe whilst driving. She is extremely knowledgeable in her driving, road rules and routes, and offered me friendly critiques of my weaknesses to improve on.

One thing I loved especially that Lien did was her visual depictions of explanations. She would get out a whiteboard and toy car, and clearly illustrate the manoeuvres and driving situations with me, so I had a clear understanding of them. Lien's instructions were always clear, direct and helpful, and they allowed me to feel confident on the road and successfully store them into my memory for the Ps test and future driving. She was never once late, and was always prepared for everything, as well as informed and reassured me on any questions I had about my hazards and Ps test.

I recently undertook my practical driving test which I passed my first go! Thanks to Lien from Tommy’s 101 Driving school, I felt confident and excited to sit my driving test rather than nervous.

Lien is an amazing instructor who explains things in a thorough and patient manner. She was not only extremely polite and professional but also exhibited a positive attitude towards my learning which made me feel comfortable and confident. Could not recommend more!

Lien was my first and only driving instructor. Good and easy to schedule with, good personality, easily explained all techniques to help in passing the P's driving test (reverse parallel park, kerbside stop, etc). All in all, I had about 6 lessons all up (4 when I first got my licence and 2 just before my P's test) and I passed first go with a 100%. Could not recommend more!

Highly recommend Tommys101 Driving School!

I had to pass my Ps test ASAP within 1-2 months, however, 1. Other instructors were booked out, 2. I still needed to refine my skills, and 3. I had no car.

After reaching out to Tommy and mentioning my predicament, he was able to accomodate me by squeezing me into his schedule and by also working around mine. Not only did he correct my driving habits, he taught me skills that other instructors may gloss over or not point out.

All in all, it only took 5-6 lessons with Tommy before I was confident enough to take my Ps test (using his car) and pass first go!

No regrets when I made that first phone call to Tommy’s 101 Driving School. Long story short, before lessons at Tommy’s – I had a previous bad experience with a different independent instructor who was quick to anger, which scared me from driving for a very long time (in which I failed my 1st driving test). I absolutely appreciate being able to relearn how to drive properly and safely with Lien. With her calm, constructive feedback and teachings, I FINALLY passed my test! :) on the insanely busy and hectic roads of Bankstown haha.

I would highly recommend Tommy’s 101 Driving School! I was converting my international driver’s licence and needed to take the driver’s test, unfortunately I failed the first take but this was before I had lessons from Tommy’s 101 Driving School.

Many thanks to my tutor Lien from Tommy’s 101 Driving School. She is patient, punctual and professional. I had around 10 hours lessons with Lien and my driving skills has improved a lot. Lien is good at observing my problems and making instructions clearly. She also demonstrated the traffic situations with little model cars on a white board so that I could understand and adjust easily. More importantly, she explained what are all the head checks and shoulder checks for to ensure I could drive safely instead of just telling me to do it for the exam. You will get an undeniably professional and satisfying experience when using this driving school for yourself or your child.

First of all, their rates are transparent on their website and are incredibly fair and justified when taking into consideration the service you will receive from the coaches.

As per lesson experience, the coach I was with (Lien) took time to demonstrate each of the manoeuvres via small model cars. This might appear as a novelty at first, but when every detail of your drive needs to be perfect for your P1 test, this greatly demonstrated to me how to do everything perfectly.

Lien as an instructor as well acted professionally and phenomenally.

I had three lessons with this driving school after coming from another instructor, and when comparing the two – Tommy’s simply trumps it in every regard. I was taught everything again from a clearer and more objective point of view and as a result, I managed to get my P’s on my first try.

Lien is such an excellent instructor and she will really guide you and help you gain confidence in driving. I can not recommend her enough as she is absolutely amazing at what she does

I cannot thank Lien enough for boosting my confidence when driving in a car. I struggle to find any possible flaws in the method of her teaching. She was gentle with explaining what to do and how to do it, even if it meant that she had to explain it numerous times to me. Using a small white board with toy cars to explain how to park was undeniably helpful as it only took a few attempts for me to learn how to reverse parallel park perfectly. Lien also has the tendency to push you out of your comfort zone which I am extremely grateful for as it only aided me to boost my confidence when getting behind the wheel. I can not recommend her enough as she is absolutely amazing at what she does.

What a turnaround and can’t thank Tommy enough for pushing me and helping me become a better driver

I could not recommend Tommy enough! I failed my first test with a different instructor after 20 hours or so of lessons.

I decided to switch to Tommy’s 101 and after 2 sessions I retook my driving test and got a 99% ✌🏻 Driving tester even said pretty good job done.

What a turnaround and can’t thank Tommy enough for pushing me and helping me become a better driver. Even after passing I still plan to do some lessons with Tommy just to unlearn some things I learned before with previous instructor and gain more confidence in driving.

I appreciate you Lien for your guidance and sharing your experience with me. Lien was not only very very patient with me, she also understood that I get anxious when driving. Pure breeze, she was able to reassure me continuously every lesson that I am doing great and there is nothing to worry about. 3 years I’ve had my L’s and that is due to anxiety driving on the road. One of many things that I really liked about her teaching is that she brought along a whiteboard and 2 toy cars as props to show me what errors I made and how we will correct it. Lien is so friendly that it makes you feel like driving with a long time friend rather than an instructor

I had a great experience with Lien. She is very patient and gave me a clear direction on how to drive safely. She also explains clearly on why each manoeuvre and headchecks are important rather than just pointing out to do the checks. I would give him a million-star review if I could!

Tom is very patient and adapts to your learning style whatever your age and experience. He pushes you to be a good driver not just pass a test. Therefore, I chose Tom because of his aim to make you a good driver. He is also extremely flexible. Working a fulltime job meant I could only do lessons early in the morning or after work or on the weekends and he accommodated for it. Considering he offers lessons as early as 6am and as late as 9pm even on weekends and he services nearly all of Sydney, there is no reason to not go with him. He schedules lessons in advance and confirms with you a day before every lesson allowing you to plan your lessons around your life. Most importantly, his lessons are in a modern mid-sized crossover, and he picks you up and drops you off making it a greatly comfortable and a convenient experience. I would give him a million-star review if I could!

I would recommend Tom to everyone!

Tom is the best driving instructor – I have been putting off learning to drive for years because I was so nervous and was convinced that I wouldn’t be good at it. I’ve had previous instructors yell at me during lessons, so I was very anxious about learning to drive. Tom was very encouraging and very patient. He is the only instructor that took the time to run through the road rules with me before we started and had me on the road driving in our first lesson!

Even if I make a mistake he never gets upset and is always kind and calm. Tom’s rates are extremely reasonable. If you’re looking for an instructor who actually cares about making sure you become a good driver, look no further. I would recommend Tom to everyone!

Tommy’s 101 Driving School is the best and I highly recommend this driving school to anyone. I am an international student from Cambodia. Cambodia is a right-hand drive country; I used to drive in a right-hand drive car. Consequently, after arriving in Australia, I had no confidence in driving because the roads are busy and multi lanes. I had tried a few different driving schools, but I felt minimal improvement until my neighbourhood recommended Tommy’s Driving School.

Lien and Tommy are professional, friendly and the best instructors ever. After I had some lessons with them, I had a significant improvement. They paid attention to me; they have effective teaching strategies to improve my weakness. We regularly drove into the city, highway and other busy intersections to improve my skills and confidence on the Sydney roads. After I had some lessons with them, I regained my confidence quickly. They encouraged me to book a driving test because they knew that I had sufficient driving skills and enough confidence to pass the test and drive safely in the future. Before the test started, Lien showed me the different roads and potential routes nearby the test areas to get familiar with the roads. This even gave me more confidence. As an older learner, I'd been putting off getting my licence for quite a while but it was something I really wanted to do. I found Tommy through reviews online and I'm so glad I went with him as my instructor. I was a bit nervous to start with but Tommy always made me feel calm and was supportive whilst pushing me to challenge myself. I couldn't believe I was on the road in the first lesson! I had to stop and start a couple of times due to covid lockdowns but Tommy and Lien made sure I got back on track quickly and I passed my test first time, I still can't believe it!

Coming from a different driving school that only taught its students how to pass the driver's test, I was fortunate enough to stumble across Tommy and Lien who provided so much support and taught me how to properly drive and prepare me for when I was to take on the roads myself. Tommy is simply the best - his personality is one of a kind and he never fails to make each and every one of his students feel comfortable when driving, even when mistakes are made. After being on my L’s for three years with minimal growth and confidence from previous instructors, I’ve been on the hunt for a long time to find the best driving instructor, one to guide me, support me and encourage me – to where I caved into my friend’s recommendation and gave “Tommy’s 101 Driving School” a go – truly Sydney roads’ hidden gem!

Tommy and Lien’s goal was not only for their students to “pass the test” but also for their students to cultivate the importance of safe driving skills – a fundamental component as lives are always on stake on the roads.

It was an enjoyable time working with both Tommy and Lien. No doubt, Tommy will make each and every lesson entertaining, he doesn’t get mad or make you feel bad when you make a mistake, instead he has a jolly nature to make you feel at ease with his corrections. Lien is like the mum you wish you had when learning how to drive; calm, knowledgeable and very light hearted.

With this driving school you will learn so many driving tips from day 1. Tom is a very patient instructor. I have been a bad student and I was impatient but I learned to adjust my ways with the help of Tommy's 101 Driving School. I have learned so many techniques and ways on how to be an efficient and good driver and it is worth the experience. I never thought that driving would be this easy, I was very hesitant at first.

Tom is very funny and makes you laugh all the time especially with the driving mistakes it is never a dull moment. From day one, I was nervous about driving on the road as I hadn't experienced it before, but Tommy was patient and explained every detail that I needed to know about driving. Initially, I planned to take just enough lessons to earn a pass in the driving test, but Tommy made me realise just how dangerous driving can be in which I understood the significance in being the safest driver you can be and for that I am thankful! Tommy is unique in the way he teaches as he challenged me from day one, by taking me on busy areas when I thought I wasn't ready as I had just started learning but sometimes all you need is a little push which is exactly what he did. I have experienced some of my best memories driving with Tommy as he ensures every single cent is worth it! I have not only walked away with gaining my licence, but I have also gained an amazing friend. For anyone reading this review in deciding whether or not they should go with Tommy, DO IT! Tommy's an incredible teacher. He made driving fun, while also challenging me by taking me to unfamiliar areas around Sydney. I took 2+ hour lessons with him so I could get some experience in different situations, learn to manage hazards effectively and fine tune necessary skills (such as merging on highways). I'm not a naturally confident driver, but all of this helped me develop my confidence a lot. Having passed my driving test last week and I have been able to do long, solo drives without hesitation.

If you're searching for a driving instructor, look no further! Each lesson is worth every dollar

I hardly ever do public recommendations, but Tommy and Lien are the exception. I started out as a very anxious driver and had put off getting my Ps for a long time. I came across Tommy's details through a local FB community recommendation and thought I'd give him a try. Lien and Tommy made me feel comfortable straight away and helped build my skills and confidence as a driver.

Apart from the usual test routes, we also went on drives through Sydney CBD in rush hour traffic, along the east coast and an evening drive on the motorway - something I never thought I could do but are absolute necessities in real life! I've had other instructors in the past who will only take you on test routes and mainly focused on teaching you how to "pass the test".

Tommy and Lien are different - they really care about their students and want you to develop good and safe driving skills. They pushed me just enough outside of my comfort zone so I can build on my confidence after every lesson. I would not have my P plate today without these guys. As a bonus, they've invested in the best small-size SUV which is so comfortable and easy to drive (I'm actually wanting a Kona now after driving theirs)!

If you're searching for a driving instructor, look no further! Each lesson is worth every dollar. And book ahead as their schedule fill-up fast from word of mouth recommendations! These guys are seriously the best!

Lien is such a sweet soul and she is an amazing teacher with the right leadership skills

I am someone who has never driven a car before in my life. Then Tom came into the picture and then he made things look like not that difficult. He is so patient while he explains and makes sure that his students actually get the right skills. What I liked the most is, he always says it's not about passing the test but all about being confident and safe while you drive. I had issues with lane changing; Tom made me work on it till I was confident enough and there are many such things where he helped me build my own skill to tackle them.

It's always fun to drive along with Tom as he always ensures the two hours that you pay for are worth every cent. I have enjoyed all of my classes with him, I can't thank him enough. Thank you Tom 😀

If you are a beginner she will help you out a lot and make sure you are comfortable!! Headchecks/manoeuvres all the essentials are taught and most importantly to be a safe driver. Ensures the schedule works for you, if you are a busy student or worker they make sure their schedule is suitable for you. They build from your knowledge on the first lesson and gradually introduce driving concepts to become a safer driver and help quickly correct errors. Most importantly driving with them didn't feel stressful, it was in a relaxed environment and made you feel safe and comfortable. Overall it was a great experience to get my P's!!!!!!

Tommy was such a good driving instructor that I will continue to recommend him to others

Tommy is a unique driving instructor. He definitely is not afraid to be honest, despite how blunt and brutal it can be. However, that is exactly what you need in a driving instructor, someone who can be open and truthful. He challenged me on my first driving lesson and took me to the heart of the city and then we did reverse parking...over and over again until we both were confident in it (and sick of it).

Terrific driving instructors

Terrific driving instructors, Tommy and Lien taught me good driving habits and helped me gain confidence on the road, helping me pass my driving test on the first go. They were professional, communicative, and extremely helpful while I was starting out driving, teaching me basic road rules and skills and tricks to not only be a better driver, but also be safe and cautious in a vehicle. Not to mention, their cars are modern, easy to drive, and loaded with safety features that only serve to make your first time behind the wheel enjoyable.

I cannot recommend Tommy's 101 Driving School more, as my go to choice for learning how to drive, and practicing to pass your P's test. Tommy and Lien will teach you how to be the best driver you can be and guide you as you learn on the road. They won't hesitate to test your skills on the road, with parking and lane changing, however that only helps to better your own decision making and judgement, in a safe, controlled environment

In short he's a bloody good instructor and all round good guy

My first lesson - I didn't even want to sit in the driver seat until we were in a quiet suburban street.. I thought "it's going to be a small miracle if this guy can help me get my licence." For context - I was pregnant with my second child and had a self imposed deadline of November the latest. I was next level nervous and feeling the internal and external pressure to join the masses and just get it done.

I was fresh out of excuses and not keen to go another year schlepping a pram around on public transport.

Queue lessons with Tom, which dare I say are like gold dust.. do yourself a favour and lock this guy in weeks in advance - he's booked solid for a reason.

Well actually it's many reasons - he will push you outside of your comfort zone (a good thing even if at the time you'd rather stick needles in your eyes than drive on the Anzac Bridge) he's laugh out loud funny and will make two hours feel like 10 mins, he will not let things slide if you slip up (stay in your lane is my life mantra now). In short he's a bloody good instructor and all round good guy who empowered me to ace my test in less than 4 months.

I am forever grateful for Tom's unwavering patience, his indulgence of my swearing habit, (there were a lot of expletives as I worked my way through the learning process!) the great conversations and solid tunes during every car ride!

Tom is an excellent instructor with an amazing personality

I had an overseas Kenyan licence and needed to change it to an Aussie one. I wasn't satisfied with my previous instructors and decided to give Tommy's 101 a try.
By the time I was doing the test (which I 🎯 of course 🏅) I was comfortable driving almost everywhere, including the CBD, major highways, you name it!

Tom is an excellent instructor 👌 with an amazing personality, something you rarely find out there.

I am so happy

Tommy is an amazing instructor. I had my test today and a lesson before my test. Tommy helped me feel so much more relaxed and confident while driving and even taught me things I didn't get taught with my other instructors.

Tommy is a truly excellent instructor! He will not only teach you the technical skills to pass the driving test - unlike some other instructors who are too scared to take students on the main roads, Tommy will push, encourage and guide you to drive on highways etc and teach you the skills to become a good, safe and confident driver under any conditions in hectic Sydney traffic. Tommy is the perfect blend of technical know-how and friendly banter

I came to Tommy with unique issues relating to driving a car. I've only ever ridden motorbikes and at 40, decided it was time to conquer the car licence. Tom is my third (and of course the last) driving instructor. Previously, I was with another driving school and I literally can't emphasise more on how important it is to have a GOOD and PATIENT instructor to drive safely and confidently. Tom is the most patient, genuine and down to earth driving instructor with whom I've had the pleasure to learn off. Tom was the BEST instructor I have ever had and I've had around 7-8 over the years. Patient, caring, it's his passion and he genuinely wants you to do well. Other instructors delay your progress to get more money out of you but his heart is in the right place. He had great techniques and tricks for me which meant certain things finally clicked! I can truly say that Tom has the passion for his job

I lost my confidence in driving when I failed to convert my Philippine licence to Australian. Tried different schools and instructors but only Tom has succeeded to bring back the faith that I can pass the driving test and so I did with 101/ 104. That's what Tommy's 101 Driving School can do for you. I recommend Tom not only for the beginners, but also for the adults who hate to be scolded by their instructor whenever they commit mistakes because Tom is so patient but effective. I can truly say that Tom has the passion for his job.

Fixed all the little blemishes...that my other instructor never even spoke about

I would highly recommend Tom. He was super helpful and fixed all the little blemishes with my driving that my other instructor never even spoken to me about. Tom made me feel very confident and relaxed when driving whilst also maintaining a great deal of road safety. He corrected all my tiny mistakes that I was making and it improved the way I drive. Prepared me to be a safe and confident driver for life

Oh, Tom Gee... Where do I begin? I've previously had a different instructor whom I've spent 15 lessons with and still had no clue what I was doing. But since booking with Tom, I got more confident and knowledgeable about each experience. As an instructor, he is endlessly patient and supportive. He is consistent with his calm demeanor and teaching, even when I'm stressed and highly anxious most of the time. Fear of driving had disappeared

I contacted Tom after my daughter had started driving and we figured out that she had a fear of driving and did not want to really learn how to drive. After a few lessons with Tom, my daughter's fear of driving had disappeared. Tom made her feel comfortable and showed her that fear of driving was ok and that she would overcome it and that's what she did. Tom also works with you as a parent around times being available nearly 14 hours of the day. I could book early morning lessons for her and late evenings so she got experience in all hours of the day.

Teaches you to drive safely

A very experienced driving instructor, Tommy is a very nice person and teaches you to drive safely. Multiple driving instructors...none have made me feel as comfortable

I have had multiple driving instructors and none have made me feel as comfortable and confident whilst driving on the road and continuously teaches me the foundation of driving, traffic skills, decision making skills on the roads and building my skills and experience to prepare me for my driving test. Tommy goes above and beyond to ensure that his students have his full potential and focus!

General Terms & Conditions

Fit to Drive - You agree that on the commencement of each lesson you will be medically and physically, fit to drive. This includes, but not limited to - having Zero (0.00%) amounts of illegal drugs and alcohol in your system, as these may impede with the safe operation of the vehicle. For example, illness/ injury/ medical condition, drowsiness from medications, glasses/contacts when required by law etc.
Current/ Valid Driver’s licence - For each lesson, you are required to have with you a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence (Class C) or your overseas driver’s licence. This may be a physical licence and/ or a digital licence. Suspended, Disqualified or Expired means the licence is NOT Valid/ Current.
For Overseas licences, to ensure validity, you are required to contact Service NSW and confirm your licence is valid and/ or needs a letter of translation. Failure to carry a valid/ current licence whilst driving may attract a fine payable by you.
Fines & Demerit points - During the lesson, if you incur fines/ demerit points, you - as the driver is liable to pay. We will make all possible efforts to ensure you drive to comply with all road rules. However, as the driver, the onus is also on you to be a responsible driver. This applies whether you are with an instructor or any supervising driver.
Accidents during a lesson - Our vehicles are covered with comprehensive, compulsory third party and public liability insurance. In the event of an incident and you are at fault, you are covered. However, in the event of any insurance claim investigations, you are found to be negligent due to gross misconduct, being unfit, including being drug and alcohol affected, this information will be provided to the relevant authorities and a claim may be made against you.
COVID–19 - If you are Covid–19 positive or suspect you may have it, you are to notify the driving school to postpone your lessons until you feel fit to drive.
Private car usage - If you prefer to use your own private car for lessons, you acknowledge that it is registered and covered with comprehensive insurance and the vehicle is roadworthy. In the event of an accident, you are liable to pay any excesses/ costs associated with the claim.
Right to terminate a lesson - The driving instructor reserves the right to terminate your lessons. Reasons may include but not limited to; gross negligence and misconduct, medically unfit, repeatedly not following instructions, creating a non-harmonious learning environment etc.
Test day car hire without prior lessons - If you are deemed not capable/ proficient to drive a motor vehicle by the driving instructor on the day of the test, we reserve the right to cancel the hire of the car. Students are advised to take lessons prior to test day to ensure capability/ proficiency of operating a motor vehicle.
The driving test day - Students with logbooks are to ensure it is filled out correctly and meet the requirements prior to test day. Overseas licence holders must possess all relevant documentation on test day.
